How to update a Swift 2 Pro at home
2. Insert the card into the Swift 2 Pro. Turn on the device.
3. On the Settings menu, go to "Version". Then select "Firmware update."
4. A red screen will display, flash, then the device will turn off. Turn the unit back on, and it's ready to go with your new firmware.
TROUBLESHOOTING Q&A
The Swift 2 has a focus wheel at the front of the device at the bottom. Use the focus wheel at the front to bring the screen into focus. If this isn't possible for you, it may be that you are not able to focus on a screen close to your face.
You can resolve this issue by using the reset button on the device. A firmware bug can cause this issue when the user selects a different frame rate. The frame rate adjustment does not provide any significant benefit, so we recommend simply not using this feature.
It may take up to 4 hours of charging before the Swift is able to turn on if its battery level has fallen very low. If that doesn't work there is likely to be an issue with the device.
We recommend leaving the frame rate on the default setting of 30FPS, any other setting may cause device issues on some batches of Nightfox Swift.
You are able to adjust the brightness of the screen by quick pressing the power button. Some users find the screen uncomfortable to focus on, usually because they experience very slight longsightedness. These users may find the Prowl or Corsac 2 devices more appropriate. The Prowl includes a diopter and the Corsac 2 has two glass lenses to make it easier to use.
