This shows the battery life of the Ember on the screen. When fully charged the batteries will appear as full green battery symbols. As they deplete they will show lower power amounts and change colour from green to yellow, until both batteries are fully empty. The Ember has a very long battery life lasting approximately 5 and a half hours with the IR on and up to 16 hours with the IR off.

If the device appears to be frozen, use the metal reset pin provided and to press the pin hole reset button that is on the underside of the device. Lift the rubberised flap: the reset button is near to the SD card slot. Press the pin into the reset pin hole and depress the button for three seconds. Then long press the power button until the screen illuminates.

In the future, it may be possible to update the Ember's firmware in order to benefit from the latest product advancements. When available, firmware updates will be located above this troubleshooting section on this help page.

There are two ways you can retrieve your photos and video footage. Your Ember was provided with a USB-C cable: plug it into the device, select the 'Mass Storage' option, and the memory card will appear as an external storage option on your computer. Alternatively, remove the memory card, insert it into the provided card reader, and plug the reader into your computer, before transfering the images.
